Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has been honoured as Best Governor of the Year 2026 in Primary Healthcare, Nutrition, Urban Renewal and Infrastructure.
The honour was bestowed on him by the National Leadership of Accredited Civil Society Organizations of Nigeria, anchored by CSCHEL.
The award, announced at the National CSO 2026 Summit held on October 2, 2026 at the Bola Tinubu International Conference Centre, Abuja, recognizes the administration’s significant strides in healthcare delivery, nutrition and infrastructure development in Bauchi State.
The Governor was represented at the presentation by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mukhtar Gidado.
Presenting the award, the Coordinating Director and Director-General of CSCHEL, Amb. Kunle Yusuff, MON, congratulated Governor Mohammed and commended his administration’s achievements in transforming Bauchi State.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, Gidado thanked the organization and described the honour as an encouragement to sustain people-centred development.
He dedicated the award to healthcare workers in Bauchi State and to the people of the state for their support, noting that the recognition underscores the importance of collaboration between government and civil society in advancing sustainable development.
