Bauchi was aglow as Governor Bala Mohammed host top dignitaries from across the country for the grand wedding Fatiha of Khadija Mohammed, daughter of former Governor of Bauchi Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar (SAN), and his formal turbaning as Makama Babba of Bauchi.
The ceremony, held at the palace of the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Suleiman Adamu (CFR), had in attendance, guests including Vice President Kashim Shettima, Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, ministers, lawmakers, and political leaders.
In a remarks shortly after the ceremony, Governor Mohammed thanked the Vice President and other VIPs for personally attending the event.
He also called for collaboration among key sons and daughters to move Bauchi State forward even as he pledged more people-oriented projects and initiatives across all 20 local government areas of the state.
Some of the dignitaries that attended the ceremony included: Vice President Kashim Shattima, Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya, Former Governors of Bauchi State Ahmed Mu’azu and Isa Yuguda, Ministers Ali Pate and Yusuf Tuggar and some Members of the National Assembly.
