Bauchi Gubernatorial Candidate Optimistic on Winning Election

Barely five days to Governorship election across the country, the Gubernatorial candidate of Young Progressive Party (YPP) in Bauchi State Alhaji Umar AG Aliyu has expressed his optimism on winning the election in the state.

Alhaji AG said that his confidence in winning the election was based on the rich manifesto of his party, sustained campaign and the party strictures established in all the 323 political wards across the 20 LGAs of the State.

The Candidate disclosed this on Monday 6th March, 2023 to journalists in Bauchi, preparatory to Saturday Election.

He said that the feedback they were getting in the aftermath of their state wide campaign outings has been encouraging and given them signal of winning the election in Bauchi State.

While reacting to some speculation on possible merger with a certain political party , Alhaji AG dispelled the rumour, though he confirmed that some political parties have been approaching them for a possible merger, but that they are still not strongly disposed to merger yet.

“We are confident of winning this election because we have what it takes. We have solid base and structures in all the 323 political wards of Bauchi State. We have interacted One-on-One with our supporters in all these wards during campaigns and we have seen the prospect of winning, In Sha Allah”.

“Our manifesto is anchored on harnessing in areas where Bauchi state has comparative advantage. So, basically we are focusing on mechanized agriculture, improved basic education and health, and wealth creation through value chain in agro-allied produce. One of the positive multiplier effect of these value chain addition is creating job opportunities for our teeming youths as an avenue to check youth restiveness in our communities”, said AG.

The gubernatorial candidate then called on his supporters to vote for him and other candidates of YPP.

He also implore electorates to be steadfast, persevere and ensure that their votes makes a difference .
