Bauchi State Launches Road Maintenance Initiative

Bauchi state government through the state infrastructure development and maintenance agency (BASIDMA), has commenced repairs of roads within the metropolis.

The roads repair move tagged “Zero potholes initiative” is aimed at ensuring that all roads in the state are free from craters and potholes, providing a safe and comfortable driving experience for citizens.

The Director General (DG) of BASIDMA , Engr. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Mai’auduga said that the initiative began with the repair of Yaya Abubakar (Yaya-Peto) Road in fadaman mada area of Bauchi Metropolis.

Mai’auduga stated that the Agency would reach all affected roads in Bauchi State metropolitan areas and outside which have been neglected for over 20 years.

According to the DG, the commencement of the initiative was a result of the directives from Governor Bala Mohammed who is committed to improving the state’s infrastructure

Our Correspondent reports that the “Zero Potholes” initiative is a significant step towards improving the State’s infrastructure and improving connectivity within the metropolis.
