A youth driven non profit organisation, Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bauchi City has unveiled series of programs and activities to usher in the 2025
First in the series of the activities was the successful hosting of JCI’s January Business Meeting and General Assembly held recently in Bauchi, the State Capital.
The meeting, themed “Empowering Youths: Harnessing Technology for Growth and Community Impact,” brought together members, guests, and high calibre stakeholders to articulate JCI’s vision for the year 2025 and celebrate achievements.
A press statement signed and issued by JC Ayanwale Emmanuel Solomon, the Organisation’s 2025 Director of Communications disclosed that the meeting featured the presentation of JCI Bauchi City’s 2025 Plan of Action, the swearing-in ceremony of the 2025 Board of Directors (BODs), the induction of new members, and training sessions aimed at fostering leadership, innovation, and active citizenship.
Speaking at the event, the 2025 President of JCI Bauchi City, Akintunde Tajudeen Taiwo, expressed gratitude to all participants, stressing that the activities reinforces the organisations commitment to creating a positive impact within the Bauchi community and beyond.
“Your presence and contributions have made this meeting a remarkable success. Together, we are charting a course toward fostering innovation, leadership, and impactful community projects in 2025″, said Taiwo.
The JCI Bauchi City 2025 President also gave updates on some of JCI’s initiatives in Bauchi so far.
According to Taiwo, the activities included the successful execution of the “Impact a Baby with a Smile 2.0 Project” on January 1, 2025, the just concluded two-day virtual training sessions for JCI Bauchi City Officers and Intending Members, as well as the Northern Officers Training School and Area Council of Presidents Meeting held in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
Taiwo further disclosed that, discussions on membership drive and database management have reached advanced stage, emphasizing that, “JCI Bauchi City is totally committed to fostering a vibrant and active chapter in line with global best practices”.
The President of JCI Bauchi City concluded his opening remarks by extending appreciation to all members, participants, and the media for their unwavering support.
“With a renewed focus on leveraging technology and leadership for community growth, the organization remains poised to achieve its goals for 2025”, Taiwo concluded.
The training sessions, which was led by Dr. Ogadinma Nkem Ogbonna, provided practical insights into leadership and technology-driven solutions for community development. The sessions attracted productive discussions by both resource persons and participants.
One of the major highpoint of the event was the recognition and honour bestowed on a renowned academic, Hassan Alhaji Hassan, honoured as JCI Bauchi City’s Personality of the Month for his contributions towards the growth of JCI in Bauchi State.
Hassan, while appreciating the honour, pledged his unwavering support, and also announced plans to revitalize the JCI Federal Polytechnic Bauchi Collegiate Chapter, which has been inactive for over a decade following a management directive that suspended all clubs and organizations on campus.
The event also witnessed the presence of past JCI Bauchi City Presidents Joshua Morolayo, and Bulus M. Nyazison, who shared reflections on the past year’s achievements and suggested avenues for improved JCI in Bauchi State and beyond.
