Gov. Mohammed Reaffirms Commitment to Welfare of Persons with Disabilities

Governor Bala Mohammed has said his administration will continue to support persons with disabilities in the state to enable them contribute their quota to nation building.

He was speaking when he received, at the government house, members of the joint national association of persons with disabilities Bauchi state Chapter, as the world marked the 2024 World Disability Day.

Represented by the Secretary to State Government Barrister Ibrahim Kasim, the Governor said government would continue to support their activities and involve them in various government activities for continuous development.

Leader of the delegation Abdullahi Ibrahim said the aim of the Commemoration is to galvanize support for persons with disabilities and chart a good fortune for their welfare and well-being.

He requested the state governor to revisit the state disability law so as to further accommodate persons with disabilities in the state.
