VP Shettima Condoles Govt of Bauchi, Family of Late Emir of Ningi

The Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima says the federal government is appreciating the role of traditional institutions in exercising social authority towards complementing government effort in meeting the demands of citizens.

He stated this in Bauchi when he paid a condolence visit to Governor Bala Mohammed over the death of Emir of Ningi late Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya.

Senator Kashim Shettima who said traditional rulers are not only custodians of culture and values, described the late Emir of Ningi as an illustrious leader who devoted his life in contributing to the development of Ningi Emirate, Bauchi State and the country as a whole.

While praying for the repose of the sole of the departed Emir, the vice president also used the opportunity to congratulate Alhaji Haruna Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya ascending the throne his forefathers following his appointment by Governor Bala Mohammed.

Speaking, Governor Bala Mohammed commended the Vice President for commiserating with family of the late Emir, people and government of Bauchi state
