The management, staff, and students of Sa’adu Zungur University, under the leadership of Professor Fatimah Tahir, are deeply saddened by the passing of the Emir of Ningi, Alhaji Dr. Yunusa Danyaya.
The university community mourns the loss of a revered traditional ruler, who was a symbol of wisdom, leadership, and cultural heritage. His demise is a great loss not only to the Ningi Emirate but also to the academic community.

Public Relations Officer of the University quoted Professor Fatimah Tahir, Vice-Chancellor of the University as saying, “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the passing of Emir Yunusa Danyaya. He was a great leader and a champion of education. His legacy will continue to inspire us.”
“We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Ningi Emirate, the family of the late Emir, and the people of Bauchi State”.
“May his soul rest in peace”.
