Bauchi State Agency for Persons with Disabilities has welcome the appointment of Chief Ayuba Burki as the New Executive Secretary of the National Commission for People with Disabilities (NCPWDs).
The Agency also expressed its confidence in the ability of Chief Burki to turn around the fortunes of PWDs in the country given his vast expertise and experience as a civil society personality that has been championing the course of Persons with DisabilitiesĀ over the years.
The Executive Secretary (ES) of the State Agency Hon. Brisca Joram Aaron while interacting with Daily Chronicle in her office, said that Chief Burki has beenĀ intune with the activities of Government in relation to PWDs and that he would add value to the overall goals and objectives of the Commission.

Hon. Aaron said that at the State level, her Agency would collaborate and support the new ESĀ toward archievingĀ the Commission’s goals and objectives.
She further said that the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed is very particular on the plight of, not only PWDs, but all vulnerable target groups in Bauchi State.
“His Excellency has been very supportive to the Agency’s drive towards providing succour in the healthcare needs of PWDs in Bauchi State. Education and general welfare of the PWDs is also receiving tremendous support of our Governor”.
“It is because of these support to the Agency by His Excellency, Governor Bala Mohammed that, God willing, the National Commission for PWDs would site it’s zonal headquarters in Bauchi State”, said Hon. Aaron.
While wishing Chief Burki a successful tenure in office, Hon. Aaron reiterated her Agency’s resolve to partnering with the Commission to chart innovative approach to addressing PWD’s concerns inline with the social inclusion policy of Bauchi State Government.
