The Bauchi State Agency for Persons with Disabilities has presented cash support to 3 PWD undergraduate students to enable them pay their tuition fees.
The students were Ismail Abubakar (Visually impaired) a final year student of Bayero University Kano who was given the sum of N100,000, Sa’adu Isah Gokaru (Hearing impaired) a degree student of Adamu Tafawa Balewa Collage of Education Kangere, who received the sum of N50,000 and Ismail Abdullahi (Hearing impaired) a student of National Open University (NOUN) Bauchi Study Center who equally received N50,000.
Presenting the cash support to the beneficiaries, the Executive Secretary of the Agency Ms. Brisca Joram Aaron urged them to use the money for the purpose for it was intended for.
While calling on the beneficiaries to include the current administration in the State in their prayers for success in the implementation of it’s people driven policies, Ms. Aaron wished them well in their studies.
She assured the recipients that Governor Bala Mohammed is very mindful of PWDs’ welfare in the State and hence the resuscitation of the Agency which is tailored to cater for some of their needs especially in healthcare, education and skills acquisitions.
In their separate remarks, the recipients of the cash support thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for the humanitarian gesture, assuring that they will judiciously utilise the money for the intended purposes.
They also commended the State Agency for PWDs for their tireless efforts in trying to give vulnerable members of the society a sense of belonging, stressing that it is only God that can reward such efforts.
They also promised to include the administration in their prayers for it’s success in the implementation of it’s programs.
