Governor Umar Namadi of jigawa state has warn the newly recruited teacher’s, among other employed staff to lived above board as government will closely monitor their performance based on employment rules as stated in their offer of employments.
Speaking during a grand occasion for the distribution of employment letters held at Malam Aminu Kano Triangle Dutse.
He said, the mass employment was part of his 12 point agenda. Also stressed govt will not hesitate to sack any one who failed to abide by the employment rules as stated in his or her appointment letters.
He explained that there is no government policy that can be fully and effectively implemented without enough train and capable manpower.
“Our 12 point agenda was designed to make Jigawa state to attain a greater heights with emphasis on access to quality education to all eligible child’s in jigawa state, as well to bridge teacher’s gap, hence our resolve to employ more teacher’s, and continuethe gap for all child in state, and to achieve this we must bridge our teachers gap, that is way we employed this number now and we will continue doing untill we have enough teacher’s in all our school’s”
Speaking at the occasion the chairman Jigawa state Universal Basic Education Board, Professor Haruna Musa said, the teachers who served as temporary teachers for two years in the state were observed to permanent and pensionable after passing examination.
“All the 3,143 teachers were recruited base on merit and we are assured that, all of them are capable and they will give sound knowledge to our children.” The chairman stated
Other categories of employed staffer’s include Permanent employment to 143 First Class Graduates, Permanent employment to 827 Junior Staff and 178 Senior Staff J-Health beneficiaries.
Similarly temporary appointment’s to 1440 J-Agro employees, 50,000 SMEs grants to 400 women from Dutse Emirate, among Others.
