Bauchi State Government under the leadership of Governor Bala Mohammed has commenced the construction of major capital projects in the State Capital.

The projects, described by many observers as legacy projects, are two flyover bridges in the ever busy Wunti and Central market areas in the State Capital.

In a well attended ground breaking ceremony of the twin project, Governor Bala Mohammed  reaffirmed his administration’s resolve to provide social infrastructures that would stand the test of time.

He then called on the contractors to ensure timely completion of the project according to the contract specifications and also reiterated his commitment to extending his developmental strides to rural areas.

Shortly after performing the ground breaking ceremony by Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, the Governor applauded Mohammed’s exemplary leadership, congratulating Bauchi State, saying members of the Northeast Governors’Forum, NEGF and the governors under the leadership of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are proud of his strides, creativity, determination and perseverance.

VIPs that attended the historic occasion  were the Chairman, NEGF, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, former military and civilian governors of the state, and Emir of Bauchi among top functionaries.
