A Kano based international islamic scholar, Associate Professor Muhammad Sani Umar Rijiyar Lemo has commiserated with the Federal Government, the Nigerian Army and immediate families of the 17 Soldiers that were murdered in Delta State.
The Islamic Scholar said the gruesome manner the Soldiers were killed was disturbing, describing it as dastardly.
The Islamic Scholar was extending his condolence message in Bauchi during his annual Ramadan Tafsir holding at Gwallaga Masjid in the State Capital.
He prayed for the repose of their souls, for Allah (SWA) to look after the families they left behind, comfort them and also give them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
The professor then prayed for lasting peace , succor for Nigeria and wisdom for our leaders to steer the affairs of country for development and prosperity.
“It is beyond human comprehension how those Soldiers were killed, especially looking at the fact that they were there to ensure peace in that community”, said Professor Rijiyar Lemo.
