Arrangements have reached advanced stage for the commencement of complete rehabilitation of Bauchi to Dindima road awarded by the Federal Government
Major components of the project also include construction of bridges and culvers from Alkaleri Local Government Area of Bauchi State to Gombe to reduce the incessant cutting off of road along the corridor especially in rainy season.
The State Governor Bala Mohammed announced the plan at the Ground Breaking Ceremony of 29 kilometers road from Dindima to Maina Maji in Bauchi and Alkaleri Local Government Areas awarded by his administration.
Governor Bala Mohammed who commended the Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima for his commitment towards actualization of the project maintained that when completed it would address the transportation challenges being experienced by commuters.
At the inauguration of Dindima to Maina Maji Project, Governor Bala Mohammed said about ten billion naira was approved to provide smooth access to Yankari Games Reserve, enhance transportation and commercial activities for the benefiting communities and tourists.
The State Commissioner Ministry of Works and Transport Ibrahim Galadima who said the work is to be completed in 18 dry months assured that the Ministry would ensure strict adherence to the contract specifications.
