In continuation of his visits to attract Federal interventions to Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed has visited Minister of Health and Social Welfare Prof. Muhammed Ali Pate in Abuja.
During the private visit, the Governor encouraged the Minister to strengthen working with subnational actors especially in Bauchi State irrespective of political party differences to enable him succeed.
While extolling the technical capacity of Prof. Pate, Governor Mohammed said the Minister has the required experience to provide workable solutions to the challenges affecting the Health Sector in the country.
The Governor said that the minister is tested technocrat whose vast experiences in the health sector earned him a global recognition and also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing him in that capacity.
Bala Mohammed further said that Bauchi State is proud of Prof Pate’s laudable initiative towards addressing challenges and enhancing performance for effective, efficient and quality health care services at the primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare facilities.
He encouraged the minister to sustain the tempo and also assured of Bauchi State readiness to collaborate with the ministry and it’s agencies with a view to improving healthcare service delivery to the people of the State
Responding, the Minister of Health and Social Welfare Prof. Muhammed Ali Pate who appreciated the Governor’s visit and his words of encouragement, assured of adequate representation of the state at the national level.
Prof. Pate commended Governor Bala Mohammed for sustaining the 15 percent allocation of the State Budget to the health sector and appealed for improved releases in the sector.
He then solicited for the support of the state government and all relevant stakeholders to enable him deliver on his mandate
