Governor Bala Mohammed Reiterates Commitment to Prioritizing Healthcare Service Delivery, as IMPACT Project Debut in Bauchi

Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has reiterated the resolve of his administration in providing an effective, efficient and quality healthcare services to citizens of Bauchi State.

The Governor stated this on Thursday in Bauchi when he received the project coordinator of a World Assisted program titled “Immunisation Plus And Malaria Progress by Accelerating Coverage and Performing Services (Impact) Project at the Government House.


Represented by the  Secretary to the State Government,  Barr. Ibrahim Mohammed Kashim, Governor said that since of office the health sector has been one critical sector the Government has been focusing on with a view to changing the narrative on the health indices of the State.

He pointed out to the visitors that such commitment of Government can be seen in the consistent budgetary allocation of fifteen percent to the health sector in the State annual budget, in line with the Abuja declaration.

He expressed his gratitude to the IMPACT project team for considering Bauchi State in their intervention which, according to him, would assist significantly in addressing some of gaps in healthcare service delivery in Bauchi State.

Earlier in her address, national project coordinator IMPACT project Dr. Amina Abdu One Mohammed commended Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for investing in the  Health Sector.

She said that  IMPACT Project would support the State in strengthening immunization plus activities and other healthcare service components  for improved healthcare outcomes in the State.
