Bauchi CAN Felicitates with Muslim Ummah on Eid-El Adha

……….calls for prayers, peaceful coexistence

Muslim Ummah in Bauchi state has been urged to use the occasion of the Eid-El Kabir festivities to continue to pray for the peace and development of the state in particular and Nigeria as a whole.

The call was made by the State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) through its Chairman, Rev Dr Abraham Damina Dimeus in a goodwill message to mark the 2023 Eid-El Kabir Sallah.

While Congratulating the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and other Muslims in the state, the CAN Chairman stated that the people of the state can enjoy peace, growth, and development only when there is security of lives and properties.

According to him: “On behalf of the entire Christendom in the state, I congratulate the Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir and millions of Muslim Ummah as you celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir during which sacrifices are offered to Allah.”

Abraham Damina Dimeus enjoined the Muslim Ummah to continue fervently in prayers, especially at this period of sacrifice for an end to insecurity and for the peace of the state.

The CAN Chairman further expressed hope that the sacrifices of the season will restore the much-desired peace and unity the state desired as well as the peaceful coexistence among citizens.

He further called on the people of the State not to cease in praying for bumper harvest at the end of the current farming season saying, “with divine intervention, we will soon overcome the current challenges”.

He also commended the State Governor, Sen Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir for carrying everyone in the state along irrespective of religion and political differences stressing that such is needed to move the state.

The CAN Chairman also used the medium to remind the Governor of the need for the new Christian cemetery and the completion of the CAN multipurpose Secretariat.
