A Bauchi based young man simply known as Ali Gaye, that broke the internet when his video appeared online drinking gutter water in an euphoric manner, celebrating the victory of President Buhari, has expressed his regrets for going that far to celebrate APC Government that had subjected citizens to untold hardship.
Ali disclosed this in Bauchi at a press conference Yesterday, saying that after the viral video of him drinking from gutter, there were promises from APC government to support him but that up till now, they have not redeemed their promises.
The former ardent supporter of the Buhari led administration , who is also a tailor by profession, said that he has parted ways with the Buhari camp and has since joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“When my gutter-drinking video surfaced on the net after the victory of Buhari at the polls some years back, some APC people reached to me, promising some support and assistance. Till date, that assistance did not materialize.
“Well, thank God, I’m a professional tailor with over 20 apprentice under my mentorship. One would have expected some assistance and support even if it is from the State level of the APC. Unfortunately, no any form of support or assistance came from them.
“Surprisingly, the assistance i am getting to enhance my tailoring business comes from Alhaji Musa Azare, a frontline PDP stalwart in Bauchi State. So, the twin elements of sterling, productive and quality leadership that we are experiencing in Bauchi State under Governor Bala Mohammed and the genuine care for the well being of the downtrodden by Alhaji Musa Azare has endeared PDP to my heart.
“Today I am here to tell you that I, Ali Gaye (Na Baba Buhari, ada) and my boys have pitched our tent with the PDP”, said Ali.
When asked if he can advise the youth to drink from a gutter like he did, he answered that, his has been a mistake and that he will never advise anyone to try that. That it was mistake and a foolish exuberance that might cause someone his life.
Ali then expressed his gratitude to Allah for sparing his life even after taken it for granted.
