The District Head of Shani in Biu Emirate of Borno State, Alhaji Mohammed Nasir Mailafi today turbaned Alhaji Musa Gora as new Wali of Shani District.
Speaking at the turbaning ceremony, Alhaji Mohammed Nasir said his confirmation with the traditional title of Walin Shani was based on his track record in impacting positively to the development of the community.
He urged Alh Musa Gora being the new walin shani to be good ambassador of the District and work towards bringing developmental projects that will be for the best interest of the palace and its people.
A press statement signed and issued by Sani Muazu, Chief Press Secretary in the office of the Bauchi State Deputy Governor quoted district head as saying, “For the past fifteen years, Alhaji Musa Gora was given the traditional title of Walin Shani after the death of his father but today Alhamdulilah the day for his turbaning has come and we want to advice his to justify the confidence reposed in him by being a loyal to authorities concerned.”
In his goodwill massage, the leader of the Bauchi State delegation who is the Deputy Governor, Senator Baba Tela congratulated the celebrant on his new traditional title, describing it as a well deserved.
Senator Baba Tela appreciated Shani Emirate for finding Alhaji Musa Gora worthy of the title and assured that as a humble person, the new Walin Shani will live up to expectations.
