WfWI Peace Mediators Records Success in Resolving Community Conflicts in Bauchi

The Women for Women International (WfWI) funded initiative known as Community Peace Mediators (CPMs) have continued to record successes in resolving community conflicts through dialogue in some selected communities of Bauchi State.

In the Miri community of Bauchi Local Government and Kafin Madaki, in Ganjuwa LGA, the Community Peace Mediators (CPMs) have continued to demonstrate their unwavering commitment to promoting peace and resolving conflicts within their communities.

Both groups held their January feedback and interaction meetings, to review their work over the past month.

According to a press statement by  Sule Joseph, the Communication officer of the initiative in Bauchi, in the Miri community, the mediators reported resolving nine cases, with one case still under review.

Similarly, in Kafin Madaki, the mediators celebrated the resolution of 13 cases during the same period.

The statement further said that the achievements highlight the CPMs dedication to fostering harmony and addressing disputes effectively.

The Communication Officer, commended the peace builders for their dedication saying ,“Their efforts have significantly contributed to fostering a peaceful and cohesive community,”.

Our correspondent reports that CPM initiatives are being supported by Women for Women International, an organization dedicated to empowering communities and promoting sustainable peace.
