The Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress at the just concluded Bauchi Governorship election Ambassador Sadique Abubakar has alleged that the election was mired by irregularities occasioned by intimidation , thuggery and flagrant disregard of electoral process.
Abubakar stated this Monday evening while addressing newsmen in Bauchi , after INEC declared the incumbent Governor Bala Mohammed of PDP as the winner of the Saturday 18th election.
Abubakar said that right from the onset of the election, they have been receiving complaints from their supporters in some Local Government Areas (LGAs) about harassment and intimidation by agents of the PDP.
The APC candidate revealed that he personally called INEC Rec and other relevant authorities and lodged his complaints but that no action was taken, thus giving free reins for the PDP agents to unleash their thuggery and intimidation unabated.
According to Abubakar, they won’t accept the results and that they are in consultation with their party hierarchy and other key stakeholders with a view to taking the next line of action.
He then thanked his supporters for their love and doggedness in their efforts of entrenching good governance in Bauchi State. He also implore them to go about their lawful businesses and not to engage in any act that will bring rancor in their respective communities.
