Governor Bala Mohammed has, on Monday, paid sympathy visit to the Emir of Katagum Dr. Umar Farouk II and an on-on-the-spot assessment over an explosion that is suspected to have came from an industrial dynamite in Azare town, headquarters of the Katagum LGA.
Though no live was lost, but there were structures that were affected by blast which led to the condoning of the area by security agents.
The Governor while at the scene of the incident directed the state emergency management agency to take the inventory of all loses for government intervention.
The Governor also visited four victims of the Zaki POS shop attack that are receiving treatment at the federal medical center Azare, where he commiserated with victims and further said that the state government would foot their medical bills.
Emir of Katagum Dr Umar Farouk ii and the District Head of Katagum Alh Usman Mahmood thanked Governor Bala Mohammed for the visit and the concern.
Our correspondent reports that heads of security agencies in the state accompanied the Governor on the visit.
