In an effort to key into global best practices in implementing it’s programs and further explore opportunities for enhanced performance, Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) have reiterated it resolve to further strengthen it’s partnership with the Nigerian Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
This was disclosed by the Director General of BASEPA Dr Ibrahim Kabir when he visited the Head of Projects Management Unit of (NITDA) Dr Muhammad Saidu Kumo in his office in Abuja.
During the visit, the Director General discussed among other things the window of partnership on ICT driven economy in relation to Environmental Sector and to pursue the rigorous transformational agenda of the Agency in digitization of its activities as it is being practice in the developed climes.
Dr Kabir appreciated the support BASEPA is getting from NITDA and also extended his gratitude to the Director General Dr Kashifu Muhammad Inuwa and the Honourable Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Professor Isah Ali Ibrahim Pantami.
Recall that Dr Kumo, last January, visited BASEPA to monitor and evaluate the quality of projects executed at the newly established Digital Economy Center, where he called on the Director General to utilize the facility for optimal performance inline with NITDA’s missions and visions of establishing the project across the country.
In a facebook post by the media assistant to DG BASEPA, Isiyaka Laminu monitored by our correspondent, it said NITDA had established Digital Economy Center in BASEPA where the Director General introduced computer training aimed at building the capacity of the Agency’s workforce.
