Leadership of the Oyo State Community Development Association in Bauchi state has commiserated with members from Ibadan, Ogbomosho and Oyo who lost their Obas recently.
Chairman of the Association, Mr. David O. Olatunji who led members to the leadership of the three communities in Bauchi described the deaths of the highly revered monarchs as great lose to the entire Yoruba nation considering the positions they held.
At the Palace of the Oba Yoruba of Bauchi, Alh Tirimisiyu Adegoke, the Association sympathized with him speci over the death of Alaafin of Oyo, late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi describing the death as great loss not only to Oyo Empire but the entire Oyo state, Yoruba nation and Nigeria as a whole.
While consoling the Oyo Community on the death of Late Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, Alaafin of Oyo, the Oyo State Community Development Association described the late monarch as a great leader who fought tirelessly for the emancipation of the Yoruba race stressing that he will be greatly missed.
At the Ogbomosho community, the Oyo State Community Development Association said that the late Soun of Ogbomosholand, Oba Jimoh Ajagungbade will be missed considering the unprecedented development witnessed during his reign.
The Association also described late Olubadan of Ibadan as a great nationalist who ensured that there was peace in Ibadanland throughout his reign saying that his term will not be forgotten by the people.
The Association urged the three communities to take solace in the good life lived by the late monarchs saying that the three communities should try to preserve the good legacies left behind by the traditional rulers.
While urging them to continue to live in peace with their host community in Bauchi state, David Olatunji advised them to be vigilant and security conscious considering the current situation in the country.
On 2023 general elections, he advised them to be active and support the right candidates who will do good and protect the interest of the majority of the people of the state.
The Oba Yoruba of Bauchi, Alh Tirimisiyu Adegoke commended the leadership of the Oyo State Community for uniting the various communities in the state saying that unity is what is needed to move forward.
