No doubt we have all witnessed the stage managed drama in Bauchi Court where the so called APC aspirant Air Marshal Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd), organised some political thugs to sue him to court to answer their call and come out as one of the Bauchi state gubernatorial aspirant. The charade was very funny, but nothing comes as a surprise anymore in the quest for political relevance, we cannot under estimate the conning ways of the Air Marshal.
Of course, everybody must look up to Allah (SWA), the omnipotent and the giver of all riches and powers to whomever He wishes and at the time He desired. Even the devil himself looks unto God for success despite Allah’s curse as a result of his own shortcomings. It is in the same light that i believed that Air Marshall and his supporters are putting their trust in Allah (SWA).
Nevertheless, Allah (SWA), the most beneficent, the most merciful gives riches and power to all kinds of people in this world. Both the believers and the unbelievers alike. Therefore, I will not contest Allah’s wish for anybody including Air Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd).
Notwithstanding, people must go through their destiny in life on earth. So, I may not overruled the possibility of Air Marshall Sadique’s destiny to govern Bauchi state.
However, we should know that not all destinies are for good especially, those in leadership over people. Sometimes, it could be that Allah (SWA) want a reason to punish someone more. Otherwise, it is unimaginable for the former Chief of Air Staff, now an ambassador designate to greedily want to become a governor of a state again, knowing fully well that his antecedents in the Nigerian Air Force was not good enough. It was nothing short of looting, blood money making and meanness to airmen colleagues. Now if he emerged as the governor of Bauchi state with it’s meagre resources, only Allah (SWA) knows what will happen.
People need to know the history of intended leaders before electing them into office. People must not wait for the candidates to blow their own trumpets by themselves. For instance, the Nigerian Air Force is there for anybody to go and verify the truth of every claimed achievements by Air Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd).
Starting from the home front; how many Gwallaga, Giade or Bauchi state indigenes were recruited into the Nigerian Air Force by the Air Marshall? Again, prior to his political ambition and during his tenure as the Chief of Air Staff for 6 years, how many people of those areas did he helped and how many did he even care to associate or relate with. I wonder how our people always closed their eyes to the obvious. If we have to tell ourselves the truth, have the appointees like Air Marshall Sadique not failed Buhari. After he trusted them with the country’s security for 6 years, what came out of it.
Consequent upon their actions, Nigeria’s security situation now is in shambles. One question I kept asking myself is, are there no other credible, known and trusted people in Bauchi state other than these scavengers who are always marauding around our ignorant electorates. They are rulers and not leaders. They always put their interests first before the people.
Now, it is an all inclusive government promised, when we know that the government may be inconclusive.
May Allah (SWA) give us the best among all the aspiring aspirants and save us from any opportunist like Air Marshall Sadique Baba Abubakar (rtd) as governor in Bauchi state.
