As part of activities marking the International Accountancy Day (IAD), the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Bauchi State branch has honoured the Chairman of the State Board of Internal Revenue Services (BIRS) Alhaji Mu’azu Usman FCNA, with a letter of commendation.
The letter was presented to the BIRS Chairman on Wednesday when Executive officers of State ANAN paid him a courtesy visit in his office.
While presenting the letter and an Award of Excellence to the recipient, the State branch chairman of ANAN Ibrahim Mohammed Lele (FCNA) said that the award was in recognition for his selfless service to the development of ANAN in Bauchi State.
He said that over 60 staff of the board are now certified and bonifide members of ANAN in Bauchi State.
“Between 2019 to date, not fewer than 60 staff of BIRS have been sponsored to attend MCPD and Annual conferences.
In his response, the BIRS Chairman thanked the executives for the honour and called for more collaboration between ANAN and the Board.
He promised to maintain the tempo, which according to him, will go along way in improving the capacity of the workforce and enhance prudence in financial management.
