She said that she sees the Award as a stimulus to redouble her effort at enhancing economic status of women especially those in the rural areas of Bauchi State and beyond.

The first lady also said that all her programs are being carried out under her NGO known as Almuhibbah Foundation, which had been in existence long before her husband became the Governor of Bauchi State.

“I cherish this Award because it is coming from an independent and reputable newspaper that is known for it’s critical assessments of every facets of human endeavour. Being recognized and honoured for what we are doing at Almuhibbah Foundation is both fulfilling and inspiring.

The First Lady, Admiring Certificate of the Award

“It is pertinent to mention that, this award is not for me alone, but for the entire management and staff of Almuhibbah Foundation, for our tireless efforts in trying to add value to the lives of the less privileged and most vulnerable members of our communities. This Award is also dedicated to everyone that is associated with Almuhibbah Foundation, one way or the other.

“Aside the empowerment program of the foundation through providing life savings skills and starter packs for self reliance, i am happy to inform you that Almuhibbah Foundation has unveiled a program tagged “Not too Late to Learn”. It is designed to attract women to acquire education and it is being implemented in collaboration with University of Maiduguri and Federal Polytechnic Bauchi”, said Aisha Mohammed.

The first lady also expressed her heart felt gratitude her husband, Governor Bala Mohammed for his support to the Foundation since inception, describing the gesture as ‘humbling’.
