Army to Conduct Officers Practical Promotion Exams in Bauchi, Calls on General Public not to Panic

The Nigerian Army (NA) Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) will be conducting it’s annual Captain to Major Practical Promotion Examination (CMPPE) from 11-15 October 2021.

A press release signed and issued by Major Yahaya Nasir Kabara, Assistant Director Army Public Relations said the Examination is an outdoor activity aimed at evaluating the proficiency of officers in the field while developing their junior leadership capabilities for higher responsibilities in the Nigerian Army.

The press release said that there would be a noticeable increase of Army personnel and activities within Bauchi metropolis.

“On Tuesday 12 October 2021, the officers would be put through a 13km fitness test which would commence from a location in town back to the Barracks. All candidates would be fully kitted in combat dress with their personal weapons”.

Major Kabara said that liaison has been done with the Nigerian Police and Federal Road Safety Commission for traffic control during the period of the test.

The press release further informed the public not to panic upon sighting a body of troops moving within the metropolis particularly on Tuesday 12 October 2021 as it is purely an examination assessment exercise.
