SUG President Joins VC on Emergency Assessment of FUD Facilities Damaged by Rainfall

To assess the level of damage caused by rainfall on some of it’s infrastructures, the Vice Chancellor, Federal University Dutse, Proffessor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed has undertaken facility assessment tour of the institution.

This was disclosed in a press statement issued by the special adviser to the institution’s SUG President on Media and Publicity, Aisha Bashir Hassan and made available to our correspondent in Dutse, Jigawa State.

The statement said the VC undertook the campus tour of study areas alongside the Deputy Vice Chancellor Central Administration and the SUG President, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Mukhtar Umar

While on the tour, the SUG President was on hand to point out areas of concerns for students and conditions of some of the facilities that require urgent repair and restoration.

The SUG President, Rt. Hon. Muhammad Mukhtar Umar also appreciated the efforts of the VC and promised to work hand-in-hand with the school management towards improving the academic environment and living conditions of students, which as has already started in earnest.

Responding, the VC promised to acts swiftly in order to address the damaged conditions of study areas caused by heavy rainfall and other concerns of the students as pointed by the SUG President.

The Vice Chancellor also seized the opportunity of tour to address fresh students and tasked them to be of good conduct on campus and to pay attention to their responsibilities in their academic pursuit.

Recall that few weeks ago, an approval has been granted for the reconstruction of pavements areas across the University old site after a request that was put in by the SUG.
