EID-EL FITIR: 3147 Police Officers and Men Deployed for Security in Bauchi

Preparatory to this year’s Eid-El Fitir Celebrations in Bauchi State, the State Police Command has deployed 3147 officers and men across the state to ensure hitch free celebrations.
In a press statement by the command Police Public Relations Officer SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, (ANIPR) said, that the State Commissioner of Police, CP Abiodun Sylvester Alabi has assured the good people of Bauchi State of the Commands readiness to perform its statutory responsibility of protection of lives and properties of innocent citizens in the State before, during and after celebration.
The statement said that the CP has ordered the deployment of three thousand one hundred and forty seven (3147) Officers and Men comprising Conventional Police and other Tactical Teams of the Command as well as necessary logistics to all praying grounds and venues of events in the State, with strict instruction by CP Alabi to be civil but firm in the discharge of their duties.
The statement further informed that, “strategic officers will strengthen the visibility policing structure and carry-out confidence building patrols particularly around residential areas, major highways, Government/private infrastructures to prevent and arrest any ugly situation.
“The Command is prepared to deal with hoodlums, political thugs and other disgruntled elements that may attempt to cause break down of law and order before during and after the festive period”.
