BASG Donates 50 Vehicles to Security Agencies to Boost Morale of Personnel

Bauchi state government under the leadership of Governor, Bala Mohammed has purchased and donated 50 brand new operational vehicles to security agencies in the state as part of his administration’s efforts to enhance security operations in the state.

The Governor while speaking in government house, venue of the distribution exercise on Saturday said that the procurement of the vehicles is a testimony of his government’s concerns towards holistic approach to security challenges in the society.

Bala who noted some of the security challenges such as armed robbery, kidnapping, cattle rustling, farmers/herders clashes, boundary disputes and other criminal activities, noted that no society can prosper with increasing number of criminal activities perpetrated by mindless and selfish individuals.

According to him, the civil society is guided by the universal law of social contract where the government is charged with the primary objective of providing security as well as maintenance of law and order.

According to the Governor, his administration is addressing security challenges squarely through active collaboration with various security agencies, traditional institutions and other major stakeholders.

Governor Bala while noting that the protection of lives and property of the citizens is one of the cardinal objectives of his administration, commended the efforts of the security agencies in curbing the rate of crime in the state.

Bala said the provision of the 50 vehicles was in pursuance of his administration’s objectives for the protection of lives and property of the people.

“I believe this will ease the movements of security operatives and ensure prompt response to emergencies. The vehicles are well equipped with communication gadgets that can access any part of our rural areas”, he said.
