Towards having a successful campaign, the state government through the State Primary Health Care Development Agency(BSPHCDA) has concluded all arrangements in that regard.

This was disclosed to newsmen by the State Immunization Officer (SIO),  Bakoji Ahmed on Friday  at an orientation meeting with the media in Bauchi.

Bakoji said a total of 2261 teams, of 8 members per team , will carry out the campaign in the 19 Local Government Areas of the state, with the exception of Alkaleri LG that had been vaccinated last year during the outbreak in the LG.

He said all pre-implementation trainings had been conducted for the successful implementation of the 10 days campaign schedule to commence on Monday 18th January 2021.

“All our vaccines are stage 1 and we intend to ensure that those vaccines remain that way throughout the campaign. We are taking all the vaccines ourselves to ensure potency all through the exercise”, said Bakoji.

On the need to comply with the Covid 19 prevention measures, the SIO said, “face masks and hand sanitizers have been provided by the BSPHCDA. The teams were also adequately sensitized on the need to observe physical distancing during the campaign”.
