Bauchi State to Partner Indian Agric Concern to Boost Food Production

As part of ongoing efforts to transform the agricultural sector in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, has received the Chief Executives of Sonalika International Tractors Limited, Mr. Rupesh Khanna, and Carecom Nigeria Limited, Mr. Sudhir Jha, at the Governor’s Lodge in Abuja.

The meeting focused on exploring strategic partnerships in agricultural mechanisation, youth capacity development in tractor assembly and servicing, and post-harvest loss reduction.

The visiting executives commended Governor Bala Mohammed’s remarkable strides in expanding agricultural activities across Bauchi State. They noted that the global community is taking keen interest in the state’s agricultural transformation under his leadership. Their interest in investing in Bauchi, they emphasized, is driven by the Governor’s commitment to creating a business-friendly environment and promoting sustainable development.

In his remarks, Governor Bala Mohammed reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to advancing agricultural mechanisation, empowering young people with technical skills, and integrating modern solutions to reduce post-harvest losses. He welcomed the proposed collaboration and assured them of the state’s readiness to provide the necessary support for a successful partnership.

The Governor also briefed the delegation on the state’s preparations for upcoming investment summits, highlighting opportunities for long-term engagement in the agricultural sector.
