Commissioner Wanka Felicitate with Bauchi Gov, People of the State on Eid al-Adha

Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management Hon. Hajara Yakubu Wanka has expressed her felicitation and warm greetings to Governor Bala Mohammed and the entire people of the Bauchi State on the celebrations of Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid al-Kabir.

In a Sallah message monitored by our correspondent on her Facebook page, Hajara Wanka enjoined the people of the State not to relent in their prayers, support and cooperation for the administration of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for sustain peace, economic development and prosperity for the State.

She said that the just concluded distribution of sacrificial animals directed by Governor Bala has ampfully reflects the Governor’s commitment to ensuring that the blessings of this sacred season reach families in both urban and rural communities.

“This gesture of love and compassion by His Excellency is a true reflection of the spirit of Eid, and we are honoured to have seen it through to completion. We appreciate the cooperation of community leaders and volunteers that had made the outreach exercise a success”, Wanka pened.

While reflecting on the spirit of Eid al-Adha, Commissioner Wanka described Nigerians and Bauchi people in particular as “resilient people” that are defying all odds to live happily with one another.

Wanka said that the sacred celebration is not just a time of sacrifice, it is a call to deepen compassion, unity, and service to one another, especially in the challenging times facing our communities and nation.

“In a period where many are burdened by economic hardship and uncertainty, let us remember that the essence of Eid lays in sharing, supporting the vulnerable, and uplifting the weary.

“As a servant of the people under the leadership of His Excellency, Senator Bala Mohammed, I remain committed to championing initiatives that bring relief, restore hope, and strengthen the social fabric of our state.

“May this Eid al-Adha bring peace to our land, blessings to every home, and renew our collective faith in a better, more compassionate Bauchi and Nigeria. May the rainy season give rise to bumper harvest and mitigate natural and man-made disasters that come during such periods. Together, let us build a future rooted in mercy, justice, and love. Eid Mubarak to you and your loved ones”, the Commissioner authored.
