Bauchi State Commissioner of Livestock Development Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi has disclosed that the State Governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed is optimistic that the planned Livestock Service Centre will attract both local and foreign investments when completed.
Dr. Lukshi also said that the Governor is committed in the actualization of the Livestock Service Centre, stressing that soon work will commence at the allocated site for the construction of the One Stop Shop modern Livestock industry in the State.
The Commissioner, who was on a familiarization visit to the 200 hectares of land allocated by Governor Bala Mohammed, indicated that, the State Government is collaborating with the National Coordination office of the Work Bank Assisted L-PRES Project for the successful implementation of the Livestock Service Centre in the State.
While on the familiarisation visit, the Commissioner urged the host community to key into the initiative and contribute towards the successful completion of the Centre as, according to him, it will not only create job opportunities for their youth, but will bring development and prosperity to the entire communities around the area.
Speaking earlier, the State Project Coordinator of L-PRES Project, Alh. Musa Adamu One , who was represented by the Animal Health Services officer, Dr Samuel Maina stated that, the Project has completed almost all the checklist provided by the National Coordination office as part of conditions for the implementation of the Livestock Service Centre.
Receiving the Commissioner and members of his team at the LSC site, the General Manager of the Galambi cattle ranch Alh. Ahmed Muhammad informed the Commissioner that, already the management of Galambi Cattle Ranch has directed farmers utilizing the area for farming activities to relocate.
