Christian faithful have been enjoined to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ, and lived an exemplary lives, in peace and harmony among people of different faith.
This was stated by the Jigawa state CAN Chairman, Reverend Father Maurice Koli Hassan in his Easter Message to Christian faithfuls.
Delivering sermon in one of the Churches in Dutse, Rev. Hassan reminded Christian followers that Easter is all about call on Christian to live by the teachings of Jesus Christ as he commanded us. Therefore my message was for us to strictly follow the teachings of Jesus and live an exemplary live of Christ.
In jigawa state unlike other places, the Easter celebrations went in smoothly by Christian’s through attendance of Church services, extension of friendship and relations visits amongst Christian’s follower’s, as well visitation of hospital’s and orphanage homes for extending pleasantries to the needy among other colorful celebrations.
According to the Jigawa CAN Chairman, Easter was also an occasion which brings us and our Churches together for the extension of peace and harmony amongst the human race all over the World.
As stressed by Reverend Father Maurice Koli Hassan, Easter means Celebration of the crucification from the death of Jesus Christ three days after he was arrested by the Jews of his time who put him to death,but he rose three days after his death.
I therefore urged our Christian’s follower’s to live in peaceful co-existence between us and our Muslim brothers and sisters in order to move the country forward. Also enjoined the Christian follower’s in jigawa state to shun away from anything that will bring disrespect to the name of Christ Jesus and his teachings.
