Commissioner Wanka Lauds Late Philanthropist Mallam YM Baba’s Enduring Legacy

Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka, has paid tribute to the late philanthropist and community leader, Mallam YM Baba OON, (Sarkin Duguri), describing him as a paragon of wisdom, humility, and devotion to humanity. She noted that his life exemplified sacrifice, discipline, and a relentless pursuit of peace and unity.

Speaking at a Memorial Symposium held in his honor, Wanka said the gathering was an opportunity to reflect on Mallam Baba’s lasting impact on service, leadership, and community development. She highlighted his commitment to education, public service, and the welfare of his people, which has inspired generations across Bauchi State and Nigeria.

The Commissioner urged attendees to emulate Mallam Baba’s values by serving selflessly, supporting education, and uplifting the underprivileged.
