Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has unveiled the official logo to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the creation of Bauchi State, marking a major milestone in the state’s historical journey from 1976 to 2026.

The governor said the Bauchi @50 celebration represents a tribute to the state’s rich heritage, unity, resilience, and progress over five decades of socio-economic, cultural, and political development. According to him, the anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on past achievements while charting a bold and inclusive vision for the future.
He explained that the logo’s concept draws inspiration from Bauchi State’s geographical identity and its 20 Local Government Areas, symbolizing the collective journey and shared aspirations of its people. The 20 circular motifs in the design, he noted, reflect unity and inclusiveness, representing the coming together of all LGAs and diverse communities as one indivisible state.
Governor Mohammed further stated that the golden colour in the logo signifies achievement, value, and optimism, while the green elements represent fertility, agriculture, life, and hope—key strengths that define Bauchi State’s economy and cultural identity.

He added that the outline of the state map reinforces Bauchi’s identity, territorial pride, and rootedness, emphasizing its distinct place in Nigeria’s history and future. Overall, the governor said the Bauchi @50 concept celebrates the past, acknowledges the present, and inspires a forward-looking vision focused on building a stronger, innovative, and more prosperous Bauchi State for future generations.
