The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Bauchi State Command, SP Nafiu Habib, has paid a familiarisation visit to the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Bauchi, calling for stronger collaboration between the Police and the media.
He commended correspondents for their professionalism, noting that responsible journalism has helped curb fake news and contributed to the relative peace in the state. SP Habib assured journalists of his openness to guidance, corrections, and constructive criticism.
Responding, Vice Chairman of the Chapel, Auwal Hassan, appreciated the visit and reaffirmed the Chapel’s commitment to supporting the Police through accurate and responsible reportage, while urging improved accessibility and regular interactive briefings.
