Governor Babagana Umara Zulum has handed over 63 patrol vehicles to security agencies and the Civilian Joint Task Force in Maiduguri.
The vehicles, distributed to various security outfits, aim to enhance their mobility and response capacity in tackling security threats. 30 vehicles were given to the CJTF, 16 to Rapid Response and Anti-Social Vices, 10 to paramilitary organizations, 6 to hunters, and 1 to NAPTIP.
Speaking at the ceremony, Governor Zulum reiterated his government’s commitment to providing logistical support to security forces. He emphasized that security is a top priority for his administration.
Governor Zulum said that the gesture was in continuation of efforts to support the security apparatus in Borno State with equipment and logistics needed for them to function effectively.
The governor also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the security forces for their efforts to restore normalcy in Borno. This latest donation is part of the Zulum administration’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the state’s security architecture since 2019.
