The party called on its members and supporters to rally behind Usman to reposition the party for success in the state.

The party also expressed its commitment to the Coalition’s efforts to oust the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and provide Nigerians with dividends of democracy. The Labour Party criticized the APC-led administration, citing issues such as hopelessness, financial banditry, clannishness, impunity, unemployment, insecurity, and inflation.

Rev. Sunday, who described himself as a loyal supporter of Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, offered his services to the party as State Chairman, citing his successful track record as Zonal Vice Chairman Bauchi South Senatorial Zone.

The party urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, to recognize Sen. Esther Nenadi Usman as the interim Chairperson of the Labour Party.
