Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU) in Bauchi has issued a warning to prospective students about fraudulent admission letters circulating in its name. The university’s management revealed that impostors are using a document titled “Provisional Letter of Admission into Bauchi State University, Gadau, Bauchi State for the 2025/2026 Session” and falsely linking it to SAZU.
According to the university, admission into SAZU is only conducted through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and the University’s official portal. No admission letters have been released for the 2025/2026 academic session outside these official channels.
The university urges prospective students, parents, and guardians to verify all admission offers through JAMB CAPS and the SAZU Admissions Office. They are also advised to report any suspicious communications or requests for payment to the University’s Security Unit or the nearest law enforcement agency.
According to a press statement by the public relations officer of the institution, Auwal Hassan said that SAZU’s management is working with security agencies to identify and prosecute those involved in these fraudulent activities. For genuine admission updates, prospective students can visit the University’s official website: www.sazu.edu.ng.
