2025 May Day: Commissioner Wanka Felicitates with Nigerian Workers

Bauchi State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Hajiya Hajara Yakubu Wanka has joined millions across the World to celebrate Bauchi State and Nigerian Workers at large, on the commemoration of the 2025 workers day.

In a message on her Facebook page monitored by our correspondent, the Commissioner said that it is pertinent to reflect on the dignity of labour and to renew collective resolve to build a stronger, more compassionate, and prosperous Bauchi State.

She said that, as the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management,  she has witnessed, daily , the unwavering spirit of Bauchi State workforce, serving selflessly, and contributing to the growth and wellbeing of  communities, stressing that, “Your commitment is the backbone of our State’s progress, and for that, I say thank you”.

“Today, I join millions across our nation to honour and celebrate the resilience, dedication, and tireless efforts of every Nigerian worker especially the hardworking people of Bauchi State.

“I must also commend our amiable Governor, His Excellency Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed for his visionary leadership, steadfastness and commitment to workers’ welfare, empowerment, and inclusive development. Under his stewardship , Bauchi State continues to grow as a beacon of hope and opportunity for all.

“To every worker from civil servants to market traders, teachers, health workers, artisans, and humanitarian responders, you are appreciated, you are seen, and your labour is not in vain”,  said Wanka.
