Marie Stopes International Organisation in Nigeria (MSION) has proposed to provides Sexual Reproductive Health Services (SRHS) in 420 underserved Health Facilities in hard-to-reach communities across the 20Local Government Councils in Bauchi state in 2023.
Mr Muhammad Mubarak Abubakar, Social Behavioural Change and Communication Officer of MSION stated this at a two-days meeting in Bauchi, organised for Family Planning and Maternal and Child Health Coordinators of the 20 LGA in Bauchi.
“The meeting was aimed to provide an overview of activities of the organization in delivering high quality SRHS in communities through various channels.
“The meeting was also to engage MCH and FP Coordinators in identification, site selection and outreach scheduling for a period of twelve months, that is from January to December, 2023,” he said.
Abubakar appreciated the Bauchi state government for providing an enabling working environment to Non Governmental Organization.
In his speech, Dr Jibrin Umar, Director, Research Planning and Statistics, Bauchi State Primary Healthcare Development Agency, said that women access Child birth Spacing Commodities, adding that more should be done to change the data translation.
He listed male engagement and increase in awareness to be a parameter for increasing uptake of Reproductive Health services among the general public.

In her contribution, Mrs Hajara Yahya, Bauchi state Family Planning Coordinator, says that such services would improve on the state indicator.
She urged participants to provide Health Facilities that are underserved and would generate a high number of clients.
She appreciated MISION for their support to the state government and urged participants to utilise the opportunity in the interest of promoting maternal and child Health.
In her remarks, Hussaina Maji, North-East Regional Manager MSION, expressed her appreciation to the State government and participants for always supporting the organization in achieving its mandate. She further stressed on the need to identify those underserved and hard-to-reach communities and capture them in the work plan. She concluded by wishing all the participants journey mercies to their respective destinations.
