Volunteer Health Workers Renders Free Medical Outreach to Communities in Bauchi

The Bauchi State Union of Volunteers and Temporary Health Workers said it has rendered free Medical outreach to various Communities in Bauchi state.

Comrade Yusuf Aliyu Fada, Chairman of the association who stated this in an interview with our Correspondent noted that various Communities of Sabon Garin Duguri in Alkaleri Local Government area of Bauchi state were the beneficiaries of Medical outreach.

He said that Water Purification Tablets were shared to several households in the benefitting Communities.

According to him, several wells were equally chlorinated in some of the Communities, adding that, other services rendered include; Routine Immunization (RI), Ante-natal Care, Family Planning Service, Dental Care Service, General Out Patient services, blood test, health talk, sharing of flairs written in Hausa that contains 5 key messages on ways to prevent Cholera outbreak, among others.

He said despite being Volunteers, members of the Union have consistently taxed themselves to raise funds in order to reach the hard-to-reach areas with Free Medical Services.

Fada who appreciated the support of the Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency for making the outreach possible by providing them with step-down training, also thanked Shakatafi Pharmacy Store for supporting them with some Medical Consumables.

The association appealed to Government at various levels, NGO’s, Wealthy individual, and Stakeholders to partner with them in order to sustain and expand the Free Medical Outreach to benefit many people
